F8 Vision
F8 photography started by fate. With multiple national portrait awards of excellence as recognition, and with over 30 years of combined training and studying photography as an art, John Mead and Jason Foy began working together in the photography field in 2005, not as F8, but as independent photographers for a large portrait company. After a year of photographing together, the vision for F8 photography came into focus. With John and Jason having the same passion and similar but unique styles of photography, it is clear that F8 photography will be the new wave of Bay Area portraiture. As Jason puts it, "we just keep it real".

Jason Foy
Jason Foy is a person who finds himself lucky doing something he loves. Jason has been practicing the craft of photography for over 14 years and continues to work on his craft and capturing images that can be viewed and valued for a lifetime. Jason feels he is doing what he supposed to be doing in life and looks to continue to strengthen his skills and capture many more memories for people that can be cherished for a lifetime. Jason feels photos are timeless treasures that mark a time in one's life that cannot be replaced.
John Mead
With over a decade and a half in the photography business, John Mead knows how important and how special a portrait can be. John knows the importance of a portrait, because he has four kids of his own that will never be at the same stage tomorrow, as they are at today. The moment a picture is taken is now the past. John feels every image is magical in its own way. "Pictures are like a time machine. They take us back to a place in our heart and our lives, that for a moment we can relive."
